Whip up quick and delicious Asian pork cutlets in 30 minutes or less for an authentic flavor experience.
Ingredients:
  • 200g rice vermicelli noodles
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 9.20 gm vegetable oil
  • 10.60 gm light soy sauce
  • 10.00 gm caster sugar
  • 24.00 gm sesame seeds, toasted (see note)
  • 40.00 ml Chinese rice wine
  • 82.50 ml char siu sauce
  • 4 (200g each) pork cutlets
  • 250.00 ml beansprouts, trimmed
  • 1 small red capsicum, finely sliced
  • 2 green onions, thickly sliced diagonally
Instructions:
  • Place the noodles in a heatproof bowl and cover them with boiling water. Let them soak for 10 minutes or until they soften. Then, drain the noodles.
  • In a small bowl, mix together sesame oil, vegetable oil, soy sauce, sugar, half of the sesame seeds, and 1 tablespoon of rice wine. Set aside. In a ceramic dish, combine char siu sauce with the remaining rice wine. Add pork cutlets and coat them evenly.
  • After draining the noodles, mix in bean sprouts, bell peppers, onions, and the soy sauce mixture.
  • Prepare the barbecue plate or chargrill by lightly greasing it, then heat it over high heat. Cook the pork for 5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Transfer the pork to a plate, cover it with foil, and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Top the rice noodle salad with the remaining sesame seeds and serve alongside the pork.
