Create a flavorful Asian marinade with Chinese five spice, soy sauce, and pepper for succulent pork cutlets.
Ingredients:
  • 4 Pork Cutlets
  • 2 spring onions, cut into matchsticks
  • 1 tsp Chinese five spice
  • 60ml soy sauce
  • 270g pkt ramen noodles
  • 1 bacon rasher, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 Free Range Egg, lightly whisked
  • 1 large carrot, peeled, cut into matchsticks
  • 150g snow peas, thinly sliced lengthways
  • 125.00 ml coriander leaves
Instructions:
  • Submerge half of the spring onion in a bowl of ice water to create a curly effect. In a large bowl, combine the pork, Chinese five spice, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, and a pinch of pepper. Mix well and let it sit for 5 minutes to enhance the flavors.
  • Cook the noodles in a large pot of boiling water for 5 minutes or until tender. Drain thoroughly.
  • Heat up a chargrill on medium-high. Grill the pork for 3 minutes on each side, or until it's just cooked through. Place the pork on a plate and cover it, letting it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • As the pork cooks, heat a wok or frying pan over high heat. Add bacon and stir-fry for 2 mins until golden brown. Transfer to a plate. Add half of the oil to the wok, and swirl to coat. Pour in the egg, swirling to create a thin omelette. Cook for 1-2 mins until golden underneath and just set on top. Transfer to a clean work surface, roll into a log, and thinly slice crossways.
  • Heat the rest of the oil in the wok and add back the bacon along with carrot, snow peas, omelette, noodles, remaining soy sauce, and spring onion. Stir-fry for 2 minutes until everything is heated through.
  • Serve the noodle mixture on plates, add pork on top, garnish with spring onion curls and coriander leaves, and enjoy.
