Chargrilled treviso with white wine and honey dressing

Italian Treviso lettuce, adds subtle bitterness. Elevate salads, bakes, and braises with its unique flavor profile.
Ingredients:
  • 40.00 gm dry white wine
  • 31.50 gm fresh lemon juice
  • 14.40 gm honey
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) extra virgin olive oil
  • 20.00 ml chopped chives
  • 1 treviso lettuce, trimmed, base intact
  • Shaved parmesan, to serve
Instructions:
  • Combine wine, lemon juice, and honey in a bowl and whisk until mixed. Slowly pour in the oil while whisking consistently until combined. Stir in chives and season with salt and pepper.
  • Quarter the treviso lengthwise with a sharp knife.
  • Preheat a barbecue grill or chargrill over medium-high heat and brush with olive oil. Grill the treviso cut-side down, turning occasionally, until slightly wilted, about 2 minutes.
  • Place the treviso on a serving platter, sprinkle with parmesan, and drizzle with the white wine & honey dressing before serving.
