Irresistible cheesy biscuits: addictive snacking guaranteed!
Ingredients:
  • 300g plain flour
  • 55g cheddar cheese
  • Pinch salt
  • 40.00 ml chopped fresh chives
  • 125ml olive oil
  • 1 egg yolk
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 170°C and line two baking trays with non-stick baking paper.
  • Sift the flour into a bowl. Mix in the grated cheddar, salt, and chives. In a separate bowl, whisk together the oil, egg yolk, and 1/3 cup (80ml) of water. Combine the oil mixture with the flour mixture until fully incorporated. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth. Divide the dough into two portions and wrap each in plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Roll out the dough between lightly floured non-stick baking paper until 5mm thick. Use a 5 1/2cm round cutter to cut out the biscuits, then transfer them to the trays. Repeat with the rest of the dough.
  • Bake until light golden brown, about 20-25 minutes. Allow to cool on the trays for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
