Cheesy stuffed mushrooms using prepared stuffing mix for a quick and flavorful appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (8-oz.) pkg. fresh whole mushrooms, cleaned
  • 3/4 cup 10-minute herb stuffing mix
  • 2 oz. (1/2 cup) shredded extra-sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Remove mushroom stems, finely chop half, and discard the rest.
  • Combine chopped mushroom stems, stuffing mix, cheese, butter, and onion in a small bowl. Mix well and spoon about 1 teaspoon of the mixture into each mushroom cap. Arrange the filled mushroom caps on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 10-12 minutes until piping hot. Serve while still warm.
