Cheese, bacon and egg croissant recipe

Elevate your breakfast with this delicious bacon and egg pastry mash-up that is both easy and special, sure to make your mornings amazing.
Ingredients:
  • 1 eggs
  • 1 croissant
  • 1 shortcut bacon rasher
  • 40.00 ml finely grated cheddar
  • Chopped fresh chives, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan forced. Slice the top off the croissant using a sharp knife and hollow out the inside to create a cavity.
  • Place the croissant on a piece of foil and fold the foil to cover all but the cavity. Put it on a baking tray and crack the egg into the cavity. Bake for 18 minutes or until the egg is almost set.
  • Heat a small frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the bacon, stirring occasionally, until golden and crisp, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Unwrap the croissant and top with cheese. Bake for 2 more minutes, or until the cheese melts and the egg sets. Garnish with bacon and chives before serving.
