Easy and flaky cheese breadsticks made with frozen puff pastry.
Ingredients:
  • 2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 package (17.3 ounces) frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 425°F and line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper or heavy brown paper.
  • Combine the cheese and paprika. Roll out one sheet of pastry into a 12x10 inch rectangle on a lightly floured surface using a floured cloth-covered rolling pin.
  • Coat pastry with beaten egg. Sprinkle 3 tablespoons of cheese mixture. Press gently. Flip pastry. Repeat egg wash and cheese sprinkle.
  • Fold the pastry in half lengthwise and cut into 1/2-inch strips. Unfold the strips and twist each end in opposite directions before placing them on a cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 7 to 8 minutes until puffed and golden brown. Transfer to a wire rack. Repeat with the remaining pastry sheet, egg, and cheese mixture. Serve warm or at room temperature.
