Jarlsberg pastry twists

Irresistibly addicting crunchy cheese twists that will make you crave for more.
Ingredients:
  • 4 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • Piri piri seasoning
  • 200g shaved Jarlsberg cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 220°C and prepare 2 baking trays with non-stick baking paper.
  • Brush each pastry sheet with a touch of beaten egg. Sprinkle piri piri seasoning over 2 sheets. Layer cheese slices onto the piri piri, and top with another pastry sheet, egg side facing down. Press firmly to seal.
  • Slice into 1.5cm wide strips. Gently twirl each strip several times. Place on trays. Bake for 15 minutes until twists are golden and puffed, switching trays halfway through. Enjoy chilled with olives and artichokes on a platter or warm with a side of soup.
