Gooey cheddar cheese layered inside flavorful turkey meatloaf for an irresistible surprise.
Ingredients:
  • nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 0.75 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 0.5 teaspoon adobo seasoning
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 0.75 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C, gas mark 4) and generously coat a loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, egg, parsley, bread crumbs, adobo, salt, and pepper until well combined. Press half of the turkey mixture into the bottom of a loaf pan. Add a mound of 1/2 cup cheese down the center of the pan, then top with the remaining turkey mixture to form a loaf.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour until golden brown and fully cooked. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of cheese on top during the final 5 minutes of baking. Let the cooked meatloaf rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.
