Cheese-Stuffed Turkey Burgers

Spicy Mexican turkey burgers with jalapeños, salsa, and cheese. Ready in 30 minutes on the grill.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds ground turkey breast
  • 1 to 2 jalapeño chilies, seeded and chopped
  • 1 cup diced Monterey Jack cheese with jalapeño peppers
  • 3/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups thick-and-chunky salsa
  • 12 hamburger buns, split and toasted
  • 12 tomato slices
  • Additional salsa, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat your grill. Combine turkey, chilies, cheese, pepper, and 1 1/2 cups salsa. Form the mixture into 12 patties, each around 3/4 inch thick.
  • Grill the patties uncovered over medium heat from 4 to 6 inches away for 12 to 15 minutes until cooked through. Serve on buns with tomato slices and extra salsa.
