Delicious cheeseburger chowder made with hamburger, cheese, potatoes, and milk, perfect for family meals.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans diced new potatoes
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 pound processed cheese food (such as Velveeta ®), cut into chunks
  • 0.5 pound sharp Cheddar cheese, cut into chunks
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 0.66666668653488 cup mashed potatoes
Instructions:
  • Warm up a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Brown and crumble the beef for 5 to 7 minutes; then drain the grease. Stir in diced potatoes and onion, cooking until the onion is tender, around 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Combine milk, processed cheese food, and Cheddar cheese with the beef, bringing it to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until everything is warmed and the cheese is melted, for about 15 to 20 minutes. Season with pepper, then mix in mashed potatoes to thicken the chowder. Cook until heated and thickened, around 5 minutes.
