Easily create fancy cheeseburger bites with minimal effort.
Ingredients:
  • 400g beef mince
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 7.50 gm MasterFoodsⓇ Hamburger Seasoning
  • 1 tsp MasterFoodsⓇ Garlic Finely Crushed
  • 125.00 ml panko breadcrumbs
  • 18.20 gm extra virgin olive oil
  • 5 rashers streaky bacon
  • 65.00 gm MasterFoodsⓇ Tomato Sauce, plus extra to serve
  • 18.30 gm Worcestershire sauce
  • 8.00 gm brown sugar
  • 46.80 gm MasterFoodsⓇ Mild American mustard
  • 3 tasty cheese slices, each cut into 9 squares
  • 12 cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 sweet spiced gherkins, cut into 24 slices
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, combine mince, egg, hamburger seasoning, garlic, and breadcrumbs. Shape mixture into 24 patties using level tablespoons.
  • In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, heat oil. Cook patties in batches for 1 to 2 minutes on each side until they are just cooked through. Then, transfer them to a baking tray.
  • Place the bacon in a pan and cook for 4 minutes until golden brown, turning as needed. Transfer to a paper towel to drain excess grease, then slice the bacon crossways into 24 pieces.
  • Preheat the grill to high heat. Mix tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar in a bowl. Coat patties with half of the sauce. Grill for 2 minutes. Brush with the remaining sauce and grill for another 2 minutes until sticky. Add a touch of mustard and a slice of cheese on top of each patty. Grill for 1 minute until the cheese starts melting.
  • Skewer a tomato, gherkin slice, bacon piece, and patty (cheese-side up) on a cocktail skewer. Repeat with the rest of the ingredients. Serve right away.
