"Indulgent cheeseburger chowder with beef, sausage, potatoes, and sour cream – a crowd-pleaser in a bowl!"
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 pound ground beef
  • 0.5 pound ground sausage
  • 0.5 cup diced onion
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups cubed potatoes
  • 1.5 cups finely chopped carrots
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups cubed processed cheese food
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté beef, sausage, and onion until browned, approximately 5 minutes. Remove excess grease and transfer mixture to a large pot.
  • Combine broth, potatoes, carrots, garlic, parsley, basil, salt, and black pepper with the beef mixture. Cover and simmer over low heat until potatoes are tender, approximately 15 minutes.
  • Combine milk and flour in a small bowl, then pour into the pot. Simmer until chowder flavors combine, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Gently fold processed cheese and sour cream into chowder off heat to maintain its creamy texture. Serve in bowls and garnish with diced tomatoes.
