Bake cheesy chicken bacon pasta for a quick, easy, and delicious meal!
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 lb uncooked spaghetti, broken in half
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 2 cups Progresso™ chicken broth (from 32-oz carton)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, cut in 1-inch pieces, softened
  • 6 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese (2 oz)
  • 1/2 cup Progresso™ Italian style panko crispy bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Generously coat an 8-inch square (2-quart) baking dish with cooking spray. Evenly spread spaghetti in the dish and set it aside.
  • Season chicken generously with salt. Cook chicken in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat for 4 to 5 minutes, flipping once, until golden brown. Add broth and cream cheese, then reduce heat to medium. Simmer and stir constantly for 1 to 2 minutes until cream cheese is fully incorporated and mixture is smooth.
  • Pour the flavorful chicken mixture over the pasta in the dish and gently stir to combine. Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 28 to 30 minutes until the noodles are tender and the chicken is cooked through. Give the mixture a final stir before serving.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the bacon, Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, and melted butter. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the baked pasta and bake for an additional 8 to 10 minutes, until the bread crumbs are golden brown and the cheese is melted. Serve hot.
