Delicious Cheesy Hamburger Pasta Skillet - Homemade, quick, and satisfying! One-pot wonder perfect for dinner and leftovers.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 large sweet onion, diced
  • 2 medium cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 cups half-and-half
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 8 ounces wide egg noodles
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar or mozzarella
Instructions:
  • In a large 12-inch skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Transfer the browned beef to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Set aside.
  • In the same pan, sauté the bell pepper and onion until they turn golden brown and soften. Stir in the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Season with salt and pepper, then transfer the mixture to a plate.
  • Prepare the sauce: In the same pan, combine chicken broth and half-and-half, whisking until smooth. Bring to a simmer, then whisk in flour and continue simmering for about three minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Add the egg noodles to the creamy milk mixture, cover, and simmer for roughly 8 minutes until the noodles are tender. Stir occasionally to cook noodles evenly.
  • Return the ground beef, green peppers, and onions to the pan and mix together. Then, fold in the shredded cheese until fully melted. Serve promptly.
