Whip up a delicious macaroni and hamburger casserole that kids will devour. Enjoy the leftovers for another tasty meal!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 ounce) carton sour cream
  • 2.5 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 (8 ounce) package processed cheese (such as Velveeta®), cubed
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 pinch salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed Cheddar cheese soup (such as Campbell's®)
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 slices American cheese (such as Kraft®)
  • 1 (8 ounce) package buttery round crackers (such as Ritz®), crushed
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease an 11x13-inch baking dish.
  • 1. Boil lightly salted water in a large pot. Add elbow macaroni and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes. Drain the macaroni and transfer to a bowl. Mix in processed cheese cubes and allow them to partially melt before serving.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir occasionally until beef is browned and crumbly, about 10 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
  • In a bowl, combine condensed soup, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, and onion. Gently fold in macaroni and processed cheese. Stir in milk until combined. Mix in ground beef, then spread the mixture in a baking dish. Top with American cheese slices and sprinkle cracker crumbs over it. Cover with foil before baking.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the casserole is bubbling, about 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake until the top is golden brown, about 10 more minutes.
