Ingredients:
  • 500g pkt Italian-style pork meatballs
  • 6 white bread rolls
  • 400g jar bolognese pasta sauce
  • 300g (3 cups) coarsely grated pizza cheese
  • Fresh continental parsley leaves, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180C/160C fan forced and prepare a baking tray by lining it with baking paper.
  • 1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat and cook meatballs, turning occasionally, for 10 minutes until golden and fully cooked.
  • Slice the rolls in half horizontally while keeping them attached. Remove the tops in one piece and place the bases on the tray, ensuring they remain joined together.
  • Spread 2 tablespoons of pasta sauce on each bread roll base. Sprinkle with 3/4 cup of cheese and add the meatballs. Top with remaining pasta sauce and another 3/4 cup of cheese. Cover with the bread roll tops and sprinkle with the remaining 1 1/2 cups of cheese. Bake for 15 minutes until the cheese is melted. Garnish with parsley leaves.
