Indulgent sausage pasta with creamy, cheesy tomato sauce, a standout macaroni dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package uncooked pasta shells
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 0.5 tablespoon finely minced onion
  • 1 orange bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 pound bulk Italian sausage
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
  • 1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente, stirring occasionally, for about 13 minutes. Drain.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet until shimmering. Add onion, orange pepper, and garlic; sauté until tender, about 5 minutes. Add Italian sausage; cook until browned and cooked through, about 8 minutes. Mix in undrained tomatoes and heavy cream; simmer over medium-low heat for 5 minutes.
  • Combine the pasta with the sauce, fold in the Parmesan cheese, and top with fresh parsley for a flavorful finishing touch.
