Elevate your Italian dinner with cheesy pork sausage pasta in just 25 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 8 oz. (2 2/3 cups) uncooked penne (tube-shaped pasta)
  • 1/2 lb. bulk Italian pork sausage
  • 1 (15-oz.) container refrigerated tomato pasta sauce
  • 1/4 cup shredded fresh basil
  • 2 oz. mozzarella cheese, diced (1/2 cup)
  • 1 oz. (1/4 cup) shredded fresh Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions. Drain the pasta and cover it to keep it warm.
  • In a large saucepan, sizzle the sausage until golden brown. Drain it and place it back in the saucepan. Pour in the pasta sauce and heat until boiling. Lower the heat to medium-low, then mix in the basil and mozzarella cheese. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes until the cheese is gently melted.
  • When ready to plate, generously ladle the flavorful sauce over the cooked pasta and finish with a generous sprinkle of savory Parmesan cheese.
