Cheesy tuna casserole skillet with red bell pepper for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped (1 cup)
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1 1/4 cups hot water
  • 1 box Tuna Helper™ tuna cheesy pasta
  • 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
  • 1 cup frozen sweet peas
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz)
  • 3/4 cup French-fried onions (from 2.8-oz can)
Instructions:
  • In a large nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the bell pepper and cook for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender.
  • Combine milk, hot water, and sauce mix from the Hamburger Helper™ box. Add uncooked pasta and tuna, then bring to a boil. Simmer covered for 5 minutes before adding frozen peas. Continue simmering for 5 to 6 minutes until pasta is tender and sauce thickens. Remove from heat and enjoy!
  • Sprinkle cheese on top and allow it to melt for 3 to 4 minutes. Garnish with French-fried onions before serving.
