Elevate your pound cake with cherry pie filling and cherry cake mix for a burst of flavor in every bite!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package cherry chip cake mix
  • 1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon almond extract
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease and flour a bundt or tube pan.
  • In a large bowl, blend the cake mix, pie filling, almond extract, and eggs together until fully combined by hand. Transfer the well-moistened batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in a preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, around 45 minutes. Allow to cool on a rack for 15 minutes, then flip the cooled cake onto a serving plate and let it cool completely.
  • Combine confectioners' sugar and 1/4 teaspoon almond extract in a small bowl, whisk until smooth. Gradually add water drops until you achieve a drizzling consistency. Pour the glaze over the cooled cake.
