Decadent chocolate brownies with fresh sour cherries for a gourmet twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 cups pitted sour cherries
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking pan by greasing and flouring it.
  • Combine the sugar, oil, and almond extract in a large bowl, thoroughly blending them together.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Add this mixture to the sugar mixture and stir until well combined. Use an electric mixer to incorporate half of the cherries until moistened. Gently fold in the remaining cherries. Transfer the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until brownies spring back when gently touched.
