Decadent chocolate cherry cobbler, perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 2 quart casserole dish with vegetable cooking spray. Microwave chocolate chips in a measuring cup, stirring every 20 seconds until smooth. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before using.
  • Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Mix in butter until crumbly. In a separate bowl, whisk egg with melted chocolate chips, then mix in milk. Pour chocolate mixture into dry ingredients and stir until fully combined.
  • Spread the cherry pie filling evenly on the bottom of the greased casserole dish. Spoon the chocolate batter over the cherries in a whimsical pattern.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 40-45 minutes until the top crust is no longer doughy. Serve warm.
