Vibrant cherry-almond ice cream made with cherry juice concentrate for a rich, colorful twist!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup vanilla low-fat yogurt
  • 0.5 cup fat free milk
  • 0.25 cup cherry juice concentrate
  • 1 cup frozen dark sweet cherries
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 1 pinch salt
Instructions:
  • In a blender, combine cream, yogurt, milk, and cherry concentrate. Add cherries, sugar, almond extract, and salt. Blend until small cherry bits are left.
  • Transfer the mixture into a 1 1/2-quart ice cream maker and freeze as per the manufacturer's directions for around 20 minutes. Once done, move the ice cream into an airtight container and freeze until firm, approximately 4 hours.
