Chex® Moroccan Crunch

Spice up your Chex® snack with cumin, coriander, and cinnamon, balanced perfectly with sweet fruit and honey.
Ingredients:
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon dried mint leaves, if desired
  • 8 cups Corn Chex™, Rice Chex™ or Wheat Chex™ cereal (or combination)
  • 2 cups almonds
  • 1 cup chopped dried fruits, currants or raisins
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped crystallized ginger
  • 3 tablespoons honey, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 250°F.
  • In a large roasting pan, let the butter melt in the oven without greasing. Mix in the seasonings, then add the cereal and almonds, stirring until they are evenly coated.
  • Bake for 1 hour, gently stirring every 15 minutes. Mix in dried fruits and ginger, then drizzle with honey. Allow to cool completely for about 15 minutes before transferring to an airtight container for storage.
