Elevate your pizza with Alfredo sauce, chicken, and gooey mozzarella for the ultimate comfort meal upgrade.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound pizza dough ( homemade or storebought), fully risen, shaped into 2 balls
  • 1/2 cup Alfredo sauce ( homemade or storebought)
  • 6 ounces (180g) boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 2 cups (240g) grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup (25g) grated parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
  • 4 tablespoons semolina flour or cornmeal
  • 1/2 medium red onion, thinly sliced into half-moons (optional)
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a piping hot 475°F with the rack placed in the center, and make sure to include a pizza stone or an inverted rimmed baking sheet inside to create the perfect cooking environment.
  • Prepare the chicken: Season it with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the chicken covered until golden and the internal temperature reaches 165°F, approximately 5 minutes per side. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then dice and set aside.
  • Shape the dough: Dust your hands and the surface with flour. Flatten one ball of dough at a time by starting from the center and working your way outward with your fingertips, turning the dough to reach a 10-12 inch diameter circle.
  • Transfer the dough to a semolina-dusted pizza peel, ensuring the shape is maintained; gently correct any misshaping if needed.
  • Pour half of the rich and creamy Alfredo sauce onto the dough, then use the back of the spoon to spread it out evenly.
  • Layer the pizza with the chicken, onions, and cheese by adding half of each ingredient.
  • Carefully transfer the pizza from the peel to the pizza stone or baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is hot and bubbly. Prepare the second pizza while the first one is in the oven.
  • To serve, sprinkle fresh parsley and extra Parmesan over the hot pizza. Store any remaining pizza in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat on low heat in a pan with a lid for a crispy crust and gooey cheese. Show your love by rating and commenting on the recipe below!
