Indulge in a mouthwatering chicken and bacon burger recipe collaboration by Taste and Paul Newman's Own.
Ingredients:
  • 2 chicken breast fillets
  • 1 loaf Turkish bread
  • 4 bacon rashers, halved crossways
  • 150g mixed salad leaves
  • 1 just-ripe avocado, halved, stone removed, peeled, thinly sliced
  • 1 ripe tomato, thinly sliced
  • 80ml dressing
Instructions:
  • Halve each chicken breast horizontally using a sharp knife. Place them between two sheets of plastic wrap and gently pound with a rolling pin or meat mallet until they are 5mm thick.
  • Cut the Turkish bread into quarters crosswise, then split each quarter in half.
  • Heat up the barbecue or chargrill on high. Gently brush oil onto the chicken and bread. Toast the bread on the chargrill for about 1 minute. Next, cook the chicken on the chargrill for 5-6 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked. Place the cooked chicken on a tray. Cook the bacon on the chargrill for 2 minutes, turning occasionally, until crisp.
  • - Place Turkish bread bases on serving plates and generously spread with Paul Newman's Own South West Ranch Dressing. - Layer on crispy bacon, juicy chicken, creamy avocado, ripe tomato, and fresh salad leaves. - Finish by drizzling with more dressing and topping with the remaining bread slices before serving.
