Upgrade your favorite hot sandwich with sweet and spicy flavors using ground chicken instead of beef.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1 pound ground chicken or turkey
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 8 Kaiser rolls
Instructions:
  • In a 10-inch skillet, sauté onion and bell pepper until crisp-tender. Add chicken and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until no longer pink, stirring occasionally.
  • Add all the remaining ingredients except for the rolls into the pot and gently mix them in. Lower the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 20 minutes, stirring every now and then. Once done, stuff the rolls with the delicious chicken mixture.
