Create delectable chicken-fried venison steaks by coating thin venison pieces in egg batter and seasoned bread crumbs, then fry to golden perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups seasoned dry bread crumbs
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 4 (6 ounce) venison loin steaks, pounded to 1/4 inch thick
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • In a large resealable bag, mix together bread crumbs, flour, salt, and pepper. In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs and milk until combined.
  • Coat each steak in the egg mixture, then shake in the plastic bag to cover with crumbs.
  • In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Cook steaks, turning once, until both sides are golden brown, about 6 to 8 minutes per side.
