Latin-inspired crispy chicken fried steaks.
Ingredients:
  • 4 (4 ounce) cube steaks
  • 3 cups dry bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
  • Combine breadcrumbs, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper in one dish. Beat eggs in another dish. Dip each steak in eggs, then coat with breadcrumb mixture ensuring they are fully covered.
  • Heat 1 inch of oil in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Searing the steaks in hot oil ensures the breading won't stick to the pan. Cook the steaks, turning them once, until they reach a golden brown for medium doneness and a rich brown for well done. Serve with fresh lemon slices.
