Spicy stir-fry: Quick, healthy, and bursting with flavor. Ready in minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 500g beef rump steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 quantity Chilli, soy and sesame marinade (see note)
  • 1 bunch baby choy sum
  • 1 bunch baby pak choy
  • 36.40 gm peanut oil
  • 1 large brown onion, cut into wedges
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed, chopped
  • Cooked thin egg noodles, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a glass or ceramic bowl, marinate the steak, ensuring it is evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Drain the steak, while keeping the marinade aside.
  • Cut choy sum and pak choy stalks into 3cm lengths, saving the leaves. Heat half the oil in a wok over medium-high heat, then stir-fry the steak in batches until browned. Transfer to a bowl.
  • Heat the remaining oil in a wok, then add the onion and stir-fry for 1 minute until softened. Toss in the choy sum and pak choy stalks, stir-fry for 2 minutes until tender. Add back the steak with its juices, along with the asparagus, reserved leaves, and marinade. Stir-fry for 2 minutes until the marinade boils and the leaves wilt. Serve with noodles.
