Asian spices elevate slow cooked short ribs to a gourmet delight.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 pounds pork short spareribs
Instructions:
  • In a large storage bag, mix together soy sauce, white wine vinegar, sesame oil, honey, five-spice powder, garlic, and ginger. Shake well to combine. Add ribs to the marinade, refrigerate for 4 to 8 hours, and remember to turn the bag occasionally.
  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C. Then, take the ribs out of the marinade and transfer them to a roasting pan, covering tightly with aluminum foil.
  • Bake ribs at 350 degrees F for one hour, turning occasionally. Increase oven temperature to 400 degrees F. Remove foil from pan and bake for an additional 20 minutes, turning once, until ribs are golden brown.
