Whip up a quick and flavorful Chinese pork stir-fry for a healthy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 45.50 gm peanut oil
  • 1/2 tsp Chinese five spice
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 4 (about 140g each) pork scotch steaks
  • 180g green beans, topped
  • 115g baby corn, halved lengthways
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) water
  • 150g oyster mushrooms, larger ones halved
  • 28.60 gm honey
Instructions:
  • In a small bowl, mix together oil, five spice, garlic, and ginger. Brush both sides of the steaks with a bit of the oil mixture. Heat a large heavy-based frying pan over medium heat. Cook the steaks for 4 minutes on each side for medium doneness. Transfer the steaks to a plate and lightly cover with foil to keep them warm.
  • Combine beans, corn, and water in a frying pan. Cover and cook, tossing occasionally, for 2-3 minutes until vegetables are tender. Add mushrooms, honey, and the remaining oil mixture. Toss for 1 minute until mushrooms soften slightly. Serve on plates, drizzle with any leftover sauce, and enjoy right away.
