Moist choc chip slice with a deliciously nutty flavor from almond meal.
Ingredients:
  • Melted butter, to grease
  • 150g butter, at room temperature
  • 4.40 gm vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 x 250g pkt dark choc bits
  • 1 x 110g pkt almond meal
  • 75g (1/2 cup) plain flour
  • 75g (1/2 cup) self-raising flour
  • 20.60 gm milk
  • 80g white chocolate, finely chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 160°C. Grease a 16 x 26cm slice pan by brushing it with melted butter and lining the base and two long sides with non-stick baking paper, making sure the paper hangs over the sides.
  • Beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer until pale and creamy. Mix in vanilla. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in chocolate bits, almond meal, flour mixture, and milk until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow it to cool completely in the pan before serving.
  • Place the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl, ensuring it doesn't touch the simmering water in the saucepan. Stir consistently until the chocolate has melted and is smooth.
  • Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the slice using a fork and let it set. Cut into squares before serving.
