Delicious pink cherry-chocolate cookies with HERSHEY'S KISSES.
Ingredients:
  • 2.3333332538605 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shortening (such as Crisco®)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 4 teaspoons maraschino cherry juice
  • 4 drops red food coloring
  • 0.75 teaspoon almond extract
  • 0.125 teaspoon cherry flavoring (such as Wilton®)
  • 0.75 cup drained, chopped maraschino cherries
  • 48 milk chocolate kisses (such as HERSHEY'S), or more as needed
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Combine flour and salt in a small bowl, whisking until well mixed.
  • In a large bowl, mix shortening, powdered sugar, cherry juice, red food coloring, and cherry flavoring. Add the flour mixture and combine thoroughly. Gently fold in the maraschino cherries.
  • Roll dough into perfect 1-inch balls and place them 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until edges are lightly golden brown. Place a chocolate kiss on top of each cookie while they're still hot and press down gently. Transfer the cookies to wire racks to cool completely.
