Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake

Decadent chocolate and cinnamon swirl through the moistest Bisquick coffee cake.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • Streusel Filling
  • 1 package (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips (1 cup)
  • Powdered sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and generously grease and flour a 12-cup fluted tube cake pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine Bisquick mix, granulated sugar, sour cream, butter, vanilla, and eggs. Beat vigorously for 1 minute.
  • Layer the batter evenly in the pan, then sprinkle half of the Streusel Filling (about 1/4 cup) and 1/2 cup of chocolate chips. Repeat this layering process once more, then finish by spreading the remaining batter over the top.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted near the center. Let it cool for 10 minutes, then invert the pan onto a heatproof serving plate. Remove the pan and let the cake cool completely before dusting it with powdered sugar.
