Indulgent chocolate chip cake topped with sweet, cinnamon-spiced pecans.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1.25 cups white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  • In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat together butter and cream cheese until smooth, about 30 seconds. Mix in 1 1/4 cups of sugar and vanilla extract until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Alternate adding the flour mixture and milk, mixing until just combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed. Transfer the batter to a prepared pan.
  • Combine pecans, a quarter cup of sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl, then generously sprinkle over the batter.
  • Bake at the preheated oven for 50 to 55 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean from the center. Cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool. Serve warm.
