Indulge in homemade chocolate-covered strawberries with ease! Melt chocolate, dip, and follow our expert tips for professional-looking results.
Ingredients:
  • 24-30 strawberries, fresh
  • 6 ounces white chocolate
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate
Instructions:
  • Thoroughly wash and pat dry the strawberries to prevent the chocolate from seizing.
  • For the double boiler method, gently melt the white chocolate by placing it in a metal bowl over simmering water, ensuring the bowl doesn't touch the water. Stir occasionally until melted. For the microwave method, heat the chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until mostly melted, then stir until fully melted.
  • Dip the strawberry into the white chocolate, holding onto the stem or "shoulders" of the fruit. Give it a quick twist to remove excess chocolate, point it upwards to help the chocolate stick, then place on wax paper to dry for 10-15 minutes until hardened.
  • Dip berries in melted dark chocolate: Melt the dark chocolate, dip the strawberries at a 45-degree angle on both sides to coat them evenly. Allow the excess to drip off, then place them on wax paper to set for 10-15 minutes until hardened.
  • Create dark chocolate buttons and bow ties: Use a piping bag with a fine tip or a ziplock bag with a small corner cut off to pipe melted dark chocolate into button and bow tie shapes.
  • Dry and chill: Let the ingredients thoroughly dry and chill. If drying is slow, refrigerate for 15 to 20 minutes. Enjoy the same day for the best flavor.
