Indulge in the fun and delicious chocolate pudding dirt cups with candied worms and crushed Oreos for a delectable treat. 🍫🪱
Ingredients:
  • For the pudding:
  • 2 tablespoons natural unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 cups cold chocolate milk
  • Pinch salt
  • 4 ounces chopped chocolate (about 3/4 cup)
  • To assemble:
  • 10 ounces chocolate vanilla sandwich cookies, about 20 cookies
  • 12 gummy worms
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan, mix together cocoa powder, cornstarch, chocolate milk, and salt until well combined.
  • Prepare the pudding: Heat on high until boiling, then simmer until thickened, for about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Temper the egg: Add a small amount of the warm chocolate mixture to the beaten egg while continuously whisking. Gradually incorporate the rest of the chocolate mixture, ensuring the mixture remains warm throughout.
  • Gently fold in the chopped chocolate until fully melted.
  • Portion the pudding into 4 cups and cover the surface with parchment paper to prevent a skin from forming. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight.
  • Make the 'dirt': Put chocolate vanilla sandwich cookies in a big resealable bag and crush them with a rolling pin until they become crumbs.
  • Prepare the cups by evenly distributing the cookie crumbs among the 4 pudding cups. Insert 3 gummy worms into each cup, slightly burying the end to create a whimsical effect. Serve right away and savor with a refreshing glass of real dairy milk.
