Indulgent chocolate cake with layers of pudding, topped with cookies and candies. Made with Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ cake mix for any occasion. Add ice cream for an irresistible treat that will impress your guests. You have the skill to create this incredible dessert!
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 gallon (8 cups) cookies 'n cream ice cream, softened
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
  • 1 box (6-serving size) chocolate instant pudding and pie filling mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • 20 creme-filled chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
  • 1 package (8.4 oz) gummy worm candies
Instructions:
  • Prepare the 13x9-inch pan by lining the bottom and sides with waxed paper, leaving about 2 inches of overhang on all sides. Evenly press the ice cream into the pan. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for 2 hours, or until firm.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease only the bottom of another 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray, then line it with parchment paper. Prepare and bake cake mix according to box instructions using water, oil, and eggs. After baking, allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes before gently running a knife around the side of the pan. Invert a cooling rack over the pan, flip it over, and remove the pan and parchment paper. Let the cake cool completely for about an hour.
  • Whisk pudding mix and milk vigorously for 2 minutes, then allow it to rest for 3 minutes. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Slice cake in half horizontally to create 2 layers. Place the bottom layer back in the pan. Gently lift the ice cream from the pan using waxed paper and place it on top of the bottom cake layer. Finally, place the remaining cake layer on top.
  • Evenly coat the cake with pudding. Sprinkle with cookie crumbs and gummy worm candies. Serve right away and store covered in the freezer.
