Total Time:
Kid-friendly dirt dessert in flower pots.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (20 ounce) package chocolate sandwich cookies with creme filling
  • 0.25 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 2 (3.9 ounce) packages instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 15 gummi worms
Instructions:
  • Place the cookies in a food processor and pulse until finely ground. Reserve for later use.
  • In a large bowl, blend together the butter or margarine, cream cheese, confectioners sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in the chocolate pudding mix and milk until well combined.
  • Gently mix the whipped topping into the pudding blend using a soft rubber spatula.
  • In the ungreased 9x13 inch pan, layer as follows: 1/3 of cookie crumbs, followed by half of the pudding mixture, then another 1/3 of cookie crumbs, and finally the remaining 1/3 of cookie crumbs.
  • Press the gummy worms into the cookie "dirt", ensuring each piece has a worm. Refrigerate for a minimum of 3 hours. Cut into 15 squares or serve with a clean garden trowel or toy sand shovel if using a flower pot.
