Sweet and crunchy bar cookies made with Special K™ or crispy rice cereal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 6 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
Instructions:
  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with butter.
  • Combine the sugar and corn syrup in a saucepan over medium heat until it reaches a rolling boil. Remove from heat and mix in the peanut butter. Stir in the rice cereal until fully coated, then press the mixture into the prepared pan.
  • Melt the chocolate and butterscotch chips in a glass bowl in the microwave, stirring occasionally until smooth. Spread the mixture over the bars, chill until firm, and then cut into individual bars.
