Delicious scotcheroos: peanut butter rice cereal bars topped with chocolate and butterscotch.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 6 cups Kellogg's® Rice Krispies® cereal or Kellogg's® Cocoa Krispies™ cereal
  • 1 cup semisweet chocoalte chips
  • 1 cup butterschotch chips
Instructions:
  • Generously coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In a 3-quart saucepan, heat the corn syrup and sugar over medium heat, stirring frequently until the sugar dissolves and the mixture starts to boil.
  • Take the mixture off the heat and mix in the peanut butter until fully incorporated. Mix in the rice cereal until evenly coated. Press the mixture into the baking dish.
  • Prepare the topping by melting chocolate and butterscotch chips together in a saucepan over low heat, stirring continuously. Spread the mixture evenly over the cereal mixture and allow it to set for about 20 minutes. Cut into 24 bars once firm.
