Create irresistible chocolate spritz cookies using a cookie press for bake sales and holiday gifting.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups butter, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3.25 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) for a perfect bake.
  • In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the butter until creamy. Add the sugar, cocoa powder, and baking powder, then beat until well combined. Scrape down the sides of the bowl if necessary. Stir in the egg and vanilla extract until just combined, then mix in the flour.
  • Load the cookie press with dough and create beautiful cookies on an ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake until the cookie edges are lightly browned, 8 to 10 minutes.
