Indulgent chocolate almond scones: Ideal for breakfast, brunch, or anytime treat.
Ingredients:
  • 2 1/4 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/4 cup baking cocoa
  • 1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt or low-fat buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F. In a medium bowl, combine Bisquick, sugar, and cocoa. Stir in yogurt, almond extract, and egg until a soft dough forms. Turn the dough onto a Bisquick-dusted surface, coat with more Bisquick, shape into a ball, and knead ten times.
  • Transfer the dough to an ungreased cookie sheet and shape it into an enticing 8-inch circle. Enhance its flavor by delicately brushing it with more yogurt. Use a floured knife to cut the dough into 8 wedges, but keep them connected for a visually stunning presentation.
  • Bake for around 12 minutes or until firm. Gently separate into wedges and serve while warm.
