Make a delicious chocolate cherry dump cake with dark chocolate cake mix and cherry pie filling for a quick and tasty dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
  • 1 (15.25 ounce) package dark chocolate cake mix
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 (15.75 ounce) can prepared chocolate frosting
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 350°F (175°C).
  • Combine cherry pie filling, cake mix, eggs, and almond extract in a large bowl, mixing by hand until well combined. Transfer the batter to a greased and floured 9-inch square pan.
  • Simply bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
  • After cooling the cake on a wire rack for 5 minutes, gently loosen the edges with a table knife. Carefully flip it onto a serving plate or cooling rack. Allow it to cool completely for at least 30 minutes before frosting it with chocolate frosting.
