Decadent double chocolate chip cookies with a hint of maple bacon for an irresistible sweet and savory flavor explosion.
Ingredients:
  • 6 slices maple-cured bacon, chopped
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.66666668653488 cup cocoa powder
  • 0.75 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chunks
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat, cook the bacon until evenly browned, about 10 minutes, turning occasionally. Drain the bacon slices on a paper towel-lined plate and crumble.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to whip up a fluffy mixture of sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Fold in flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Then gently combine chocolate chips and bacon. Scoop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, then allow to rest for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
