Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries

Impress loved ones with decadent chocolate-covered strawberries. Dip fresh berries in melted chocolate, chill, and enjoy as a stunning cake decoration, dessert upgrade, or elegant centerpiece. Perfect for any special occasion!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pint (2 cups) medium-large strawberries (18 to 20 strawberries)
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips or white vanilla baking chips
  • 1 teaspoon shortening or vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Thoroughly rinse strawberries and pat them dry with paper towels until completely dry. Arrange them on a waxed paper-lined cookie sheet.
  • Melt chocolate chips and shortening in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring often. Remove from heat.
  • Dip the bottom half of each strawberry in the chocolate mixture, letting the extra drip off into the saucepan. Place the strawberries on a cookie sheet lined with waxed paper.
  • Chill uncovered for approximately 30 minutes until chocolate is firm, or until ready to serve. Keep covered in the refrigerator to prevent softening, especially if made with oil.
