Indulgent white chocolate-covered strawberries drizzled with rich, melted dark chocolate. Simply dip strawberries in melted white chocolate, drizzle with dark chocolate, and chill to create a stunning and delicious dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 bag (12 ounces) white baking chips (2 cups)
  • 1 tablespoon shortening
  • 18 large strawberries with leaves
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon shortening
Instructions:
  • Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper. Melt white baking chips and 1 tablespoon of shortening in a 2-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until the chips are completely melted.
  • Pierce fork or toothpick into the stem end of each strawberry, dip ¾ of the way into melted chocolate chips, and let the top and leaves remain uncoated. Place on a cookie sheet lined with waxed paper.
  • Melt semisweet chocolate chips and 1 teaspoon shortening in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Alternatively, combine chocolate chips and shortening in a microwave-safe bowl, microwave on Medium (50%) for 1 minute, stir, then microwave for 2 to 3 minutes more until smooth.
  • Using a small spoon, elegantly drizzle melted semisweet chocolate over the dipped strawberries. Allow them to set in the refrigerator, uncovered, for about 30 minutes.
