Indulge in homemade Chocolate-Ice Cream Tacos with a childhood twist! Just a handful of ingredients for a nostalgic treat that's perfect for all ages. Embrace the joy of a delicious ice cream snack!
Ingredients:
  • 6 tortillas from 1 package (8.2 oz) Old El Paso™ Flour Tortillas for Soft Tacos and Fajitas (10 Count)
  • 1 bag (10 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • About 6 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • Candy sprinkles, as desired
Instructions:
  • 1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. 2. Fold tortillas over 6 foil balls to create taco shapes and place them on the cookie sheet. 3. Bake the tortillas for about 10 minutes until they are lightly browned and crisp. Allow them to cool. 4. Place the cooled tortillas in the freezer for 10 to 15 minutes until cold.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, heat chocolate chips and oil in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth and melted. Use a spoon or brush to coat the inside of each shell with the melted chocolate mixture. Return the shells to the tray and freeze for an additional 10 to 15 minutes until the chocolate hardens. Set aside any leftover chocolate for later use.
  • Allow the chocolate to harden while you slightly soften the ice cream. Once the shells are cold, fill them up to the edges with ice cream, making sure not to break the shell. It's okay if the chocolate cracks a bit. Return the ice cream-filled tacos to the tray in the freezer for 1 to 2 hours until the ice cream is very firm.
  • Warm up the saved chocolate coating in the microwave for 30 to 60 seconds if needed. Transfer the chocolate to a wide container, such as a small loaf pan. Take the ice cream tacos out of the freezer and promptly dip each taco into the chocolate coating, ensuring the ice cream is entirely covered, then sprinkle with candy sprinkles. Return the tacos to a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for an additional 2 hours or until solid before serving.
